Effective September 15, 2026
This notice describes what information the Accessibility Registry collects and how it is used.
Records
Records contain a website's domain, an organization name, the filing partner, dates, statuses, and notes. Records are public by design. They do not contain personal information about individuals; partners are instructed not to include any.
Forms
When you use the contact or partner application form, the registry receives the information you enter, including your name and email address, and uses it only to respond to you and to review the application. Form submissions are processed by the site's hosting provider on the registry's behalf.
Searches and visits
The registry does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The hosting provider keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses and pages requested, for security and operations, and retains them for a limited period.
The badge
When a website displays the badge, a visitor's browser requests the badge script and the record status from the registry. The registry does not set cookies through the badge and does not track visitors across websites.
Sharing
The registry does not sell or rent personal information. Information from a contact form about a specific record may be shared with the partner that filed the record so that the partner can respond.
Your choices
To ask what information the registry holds about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, contact the registry.
